Default Games dont work at lower resolutions

Hi,
Basically, whenever I launch a game and try to play it not at my monitors native resolution (1920x1200) it plays the game in a really small box in the top left hand corner, the box size depends on the resolution I play it at. Can somebody tell me why this is? Why doesnt it just stretch the box to fix the whole screen.
Cheers

If you have the latest Catalyst drivers then it sounds like it could be a driver glitch. That setup is fine compatibility wise.

Are you sure the games can handle the resolution? Are you sure you are running the games in Full Screen mode and not Windowed?
