Default Game Crashes After Certain Period

when i am on games my computer just freezes after a certain period of time, so i have to restart the computer. but these games i used to play all the time on my computer so its a fairly recent thing thats occured.

the video card that i use is:

Nvidia GeForce 6610 XL

You need to check your temps.

Um, easiest is with coretemp for the cpu, and gpuz for the gpu... it will log the temps as you play.

sorry for the late reply, (hope its ok), i just did a log on the GPU before i even began playing the game and the temprature is 111.0 Degrees

is there a way to set it to not go that high?

Anytime, just post back with your results and see how things run after a good blow-out.. LOL (was gonna say something else, but nah....LOL )

oh, and make sure your fan is turning on while you're in there.. Maybe even crank up the fan speed with the stock Nvidia software.

omg, lol i just opened it up the fan was hanging off and it like melted off, looks like the fan stopped working or something and just cooked itself.

looks like ill need a new graphics card i think

What do you use it for? And your budget.... oh is it pci-e? or agp?
