Use RealTemp to read the temperatures not Everest. 8C is impossible unless you live in an ambient temp of -15C.

Sounds to me like your PSU or mobo has few bad capacitors

Okay, well this is a old thread by now, but I am suddenly in the dark again about a few issues. The computer seemed fine for a while after I cleaned the CPU fan and added the new thermal paste.

Now randomly it doesn't only restart but it shuts down. It doesn't happen that often though. When I keep my box open it doesn't really happen. The other day my PSU's fan stopped running. I added some oil and it started running again, but for some reason I think the new problem (obviously it contributed to the last problem as well) is because of the PSU fan being faulty or even the whole PSU.

How can I check which is faulty, the PSU fan or the whole thing?

Thanks
