What are your temperatures like? Get HWMonitor and show us a screenshot of it.

Idle: just under 40 degrees centigrade
Playing test drive unlimited 2: max was 51 degrees centigrade

(and tdu2 is a modern game btw)

Yeah, how is your GPU temps?

Get Memtest86+, and run it for at least 2 passes. Could be a problem with your ram, maybe.

How about your CPU temps? I took that to be CPU, not GPU, sorry.

Did you use Memtest86+? Don't run the Windows one.

Ok here's something wierd.

Speedfan results:

Cpu:

idle:37 degrees C
under load (tdu2) around 45 degrees C

system:idle:-47 degrees C?!?!
Mb (presumably motherboard):idle: 209 degrees C?!?!?!?!

(I did see a fire icon next to the gpu for a wee bit while playing btw...)

speedfan isn't very reliable in terms of temperature accuracy. When I used to use it, it always had a -2xx value aswell. We would prefer HWMonitor as that program is quite accurate and consistent.
