Formatting my Hard Drive?

Hey guys,

So i got my new hardware today to build my new PC and I was pumped, ready to go. However, I was planning on keeping my existing hard drive, running a "sysprep" to remove the drivers, and then transferring it to my new build. Unfortunately, the sysprep didn't work, and it's not going to. So I want to just wipe my hard drive clean, for i have a copy of a windows installation disk.

So, how can i wipe my HD? I dont have any disks that originally came with my computer. I wanna get this new build up and running! thanks guys

Just boot to the installation disk and it will prompt you to format a drive. It's that simple

You can use a GParted LiveCD to format it as well.

Well I'm running vista and i dont have the vista disk. I have an XP disk. any other suggestions?
