Format Drive?

ok im going to be getting a new dell soon and once i get it i want to format it to get rid of all the junk how do i format it without a floppy drive everytime ive formatted ive needed one this new pc wont have one so can you give me step by step on what i have to do to do this

what OS? XP i assume. stick the cd in and run setup from the disc. part way through it will ask about the install partition and at that point on screen it will say what to do to format. format the partition during the install and away you go.

your going to have to delete the existing partition first, then format it, then reinstall

You dont need to delete the partition, just format it (use NTFS).
