Floppy Drive

I just reformatted and installed Windows XP Pro. On "My Computer" it says I have a floppy drive, but I don't. I'd like for it to go away. Any ideas on how to make it go away?

Well you could check in the BIOS when the system first boots (if you even know how to do this sorry if not) and make sure the floppy drive is not in the boot sequence. I'm just guessing here that this may solve the problem. Thats what i do when i don't want to see one of my HD's when i boot windows.

i think you can "hide" the drive so it is not shown in the list. never needed to do it myself so i can't tell you how and i can't check either because i'm on a dodgy, limited school computer

I've checked the boot sequence and its not there. I have no floppy drive so I don't know why its saying I have one.
