Default Flashing system bios question

I looked around and I can't find any answer to this. I need to flash my systems bios and on MSI's website the guide says that i should NOT do it from a floppy disk. Why?

I made a boot disk and everytihng and when I get into its little command prompt and I type C: it says it can't find anything.

msi uses live update to flash the bios download the latest live update from their website and it will pull the correct bios off the web.

Yeah but I'm in safe mode right now. I can't get onto windows xp to use live update. I need to flash it old school style.

You need a DOS bootup disk, then insert your 'Flash floppy" and hope it works.

Sig reinstated.

This may seem like a dumb question...why do you think you need to flash the bios. Are you getting a checksum error at POST? A little mor information may save you from potentially screwing up your Mobo!!!!
