Firewire?

I installed all my new parts. I got this firewire thing that connects to the mobo. When I try to use my firewire device it says the hardware did not install correctly. I'm thinking I just plugged it into the wrong port on the mobo? If so is there a designated firewire port?

The motherboard supports firewire? check the manual and see if there is a firewire connection on the mobo.

Well I'm assuming it does because it came with it.

Read your manual carefully because I think plugging a firewire cable into the wrong port can damage your hardware. But im not completly sure.

Well.....darn. I looked through the manual already but I'll check again.

Edit- Yeah theres nohing in the manual about firewire...
