I have one USB HDD with 120GB capacity, of Samsung brand name.
Today when I plugged it to my notebook, I saw
a pop-up message:
corrupted.jpg

I found around 3GB of my saved data in the USB HDD missing.
I think the TOC rather than the file is corrupted.

Do you know where actually can I find the Chkdsk utility?

go to Start -> Run and type chkdsk /f f:

it will then run checkdisk and fix anything wrong. if it does not allow u then it will say "it cannot run now would like to schedule one at next restart"

type Y and press enter

restart your computer and the utility will start automatically

Thanks, I have run the command.

I can see the folder that originally there should have 3GB data inside it, but now the system reports me it is an empty folder.
When I tried to delete this folder, it said the folder is not empty.

It's weird! If it is not empty, why I can't see anthing?
