After giving up on fixing my internal hard drive (original problem ), I tried to make a USB hard drive my primary hard drive. I put the USB hard drive as the first one on the boot priority order and the computer recognized it. Then I installed the operating system from the recovery CD. But when I boot it up, it gets partially through the Windows XP loading screen and then goes to an error screen. This is what was displayed on the screen:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78A6524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Every time I boot it up, it stops at the exact same time. I am frustrated.
Help is appreciated.

Thank you.
