External hard drive spins, light turns on, but does not work.

Tried it on two different computers, its a 300 GB iMicro External HDD, have not tried a different USB cord, could it be the problem? Had it around 2 months now, first problem with it, thanks.

I would try a different sata cable as you mentioned.

Hearing any abnormal sounds from it?

Can you hear if it is spinning at all?

2 months it will still be under warranty.

Should note its a USB cable that connects them, both ends are USB,

No abnormal sounds, and I can hear it spinning, and feel it spinning.
