External Hard drive not showing up anymore???

I bought an external drive about 2 months ago, got it set up with a new partition using disk management. it worked fine, as of today for some reason it stopped working (stopped showing up in my computer, explorer, as well as disk management) im not sure what to do at this point. i have already uninstalled the drivers, plugged in the USB that connects to my external, and it updated automatically, so im guessing its not the drives/USB ports. it says everything is installed and ready to use yet i can not see the drive in my computer or disk management? any suggestions would be great...thanks

First of all, test the drive in a different computer to see if it is the drive's fault or the computer's.
