I have a WD 160 GB HDD, as storage for music. I'm using the USB as the means to transfer data between my comp and HDD. I have some other stuff that I wanted to plug into the slots, I have 2 USB ports. I double clicked the "Safely Remove Hardware Icon" in the bottom right. Double clicked the "USB Mass Storage Device" and then selected the USB device to remove or unplug. I had some music playing from the external HDD, and a warning popped up saying that it wasnt able to perform the action. I closed the program using the music and then it disconnected like normal.
Now when I plug it back in, the comp doesn't recognize the external HDD. Do I need to reinstall the driver or what?
UPDATE: I plugged it into my other computer and it recognized it just fine.
