external hard drive

everytime i turn it on i have to go to disk manager and activate the drive... it says that it is a dynamic disk.. how do i make it pop up under my computer like a pen drive? so i dont have to activate it everytime.. should i format it to basic drive?

Yep. You need to convert from dynamic to basic disk.

well it is having the same problem.. i have to do system restore everytime to get the computer to pick up the **** external hard drive.. is it the enclosure? cause i backed everything up and made it basic and then i logged out, shut off external, logged back in, wasn't there cause it is off, turned it on while logged in and not under my computer, logged out, logged in and still not there... and im too lazy to do system restore again.. help me fix this please!
