eVGA 9800 gx2 SSC - won't boot

I just received an EVGA 9800 GX2, plugged it in and my screen wouldn't show any POST info. Luckily I was able to see that it posted up to the Video portion of the bootup, where it beeped 4 times.

I removed the card and plugged in my old ati x1800. Worked fine.

Has anyone had this problem with their "soon to be extinct" 9800's?

Man this is starting to get on my nerves. I swear i read at least 1 thread a day of people getting defective GX2's. If either of mine come in DOA i'm going to raise ****.

And I thought I was the only one!

BTW eVGA CLAIMS that the 9800 gx2 is not being replaced in the next 4 months. They said they are planning on the 9900 series "next year."

Probably just trying to make me feel better about my DOA board and spending $600 on a card that will be replaced in 3 months.
