ethernet controller

I used to try to use the USB to connect to my old 2wire dsl modem. USB sucks for internet. Just plug in the good ole cat5 and go that route. Seems like everytime i rebooted i would have to uninstall/reinstall on the ethernet to get the usb connection working. Also, uninstall the !ethernet and do a search for new hardware, odds are that it will reinstall it correctly. This is what i did in the past on my USB modem but it got to be a pain in the butt so i just went back to cat5.
