enabling audio in bios

I did a reformat and now my audio doesn't work. I installed a AMD graphics adapter with the catalyst and I think it's interfering with the onboard audio. I can't find the audio in bios.

BIOS Version 786C1 v01.05

High Definition Audio Controller

In the bios under onboard devices it says

Serial port 4
parallel port 7
floppy disk port 6

You need to install your audio drivers for your computer.

I can't find one that works on my version of Windows, and I don't have the CD. The computer was sold with XP but I installed Windows 7, the first time the audio worked fine but after I reformatted there was no audio.

Not the version of Windows you have, your actual computer.

What is the brand / model? I.e., is it HP, Dell, etc? And what is the model number?

See if WIndows Update picks it up first.

If it doesn't, then try this:
