e-machines computer upgrade

I have an emachines w2040, and was wondering if the EVGA GForce FX 5200 graphics card would be compatible. We tried a Sapphire Radeon 9000 pro and it would not work.

I have a w2040 (the rig in my sig... sort of).

As long as the card is AGP it will work. I tried ATI as well, but it seems that the VIA chipset on our motherboards doesn't care for them.
