Im working on a dell, its like a month old.

The dvdr drive keeps phantoming back and forth, one minute its working fine, the next its

Device status: Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (code 37)

Its a TSSTcorp DVD+RW TS-H553A drive

It shows up in the bios, shows up in the device manager with the exclamation point. Its enabled in the bios as well.

I found a firmware upgrade utilitie from samsung (drive creator) and a firmware version for the drive, but it does me no good if i cant access the drive, or make windows realize its actually there.

This is really getting annoying. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

check or replace the IDE cable that its on, i've had this problem before with a CD drive as well as a Hard Drive
