A DVD-RW Drive burns DVDs, right?

I have this new Vaio dektop with DVD-RW and DVD-ROM drives, but when I try to use Media Center to burn a DVD, it says I have no DVD recorder.

I checked hardware management, nothing apparently wrong there.

yes a dvd-rw drive should burn dvd's. use some third party burning software windows default SB.

DVDXCOPY Platinum or Nero 6...you can find 'em both online if you google 'em..

nero is the way to go. a freeware program that i found good for burning data discs is deepburner
