Desktop PC with a DVD multi-recorder R DL.
Three year-old machine.
Problem:
The tray of the DVD recorder behaves abnormally.
Current situations:
(1). Most of the times, there is a sound which sounds like Ke-Bone when the in-out button is pressed. The tray does not move at all.
(2). Some times, there is no sound or noice and the tray stays still.
(3). Some other times, the tray slides out about an inch or two and retracts itself.
(4). A few times, the tray slides all the way out and then retracts all the way in.
(5). Rarely, the tray slides all the way out and stays there waiting for the disc. It will slide in if the in-out button is pressed.
Have tried:
The belt is replaced with a new one.
Have put a paper disc in the spinner's cap.
Keeping a disc in the device all the time.
They have made no difference.
Help, please.
