I bought a HP laptop (dv2000t) with Windows XP Professional six months back. Along with it, I bought inbuilt Super Multi DVD RW Drive. I also got Windows VISTA as an free upgrade offer. After I installed VISTA, I got some problem with the sound card. So I sent the laptop back to HP Service center. They reinstalled it back to Windows XP Professional with the factory settings.
After that I got a strange problem. When I open Windows Explorer, the DVD Drive is shown as DVDRAM. Previously it used to show as DVD-RW and I could write DVD data discs with Windows Explorer. Now I could not write DVD using explorer. But I could write a DVD disc using Roxio Sonic software.
I also tried to install VISTA once again just to check. Windows Explorer shows it as DVD-RW. Again I am back to Windows XP with no luck on this problem.
I want to have the ability to write DVDs using windows explorer. Can anyone please help me on this?
If need more details, please let me know.
Thanks,
Jambu
