Default DVD +/- problem

I have a Pioneer DVD +/- writer in my laptop, just formatted and reinstalled windows, was working fine prior but other things were not, so had to formate.

Now when I look at it, it's installed as only a - and not a +, cant find any drivers to help fix this problem.. so it will only see - burnt DVDs and not + burnt ones where I burnt a lot of pictures to keep.. any suggestions?

The only thing i could suggest is to go into device manager and uninstalling it then if it doesnt install again go into add hardware.

If that doesnt work then I would just do windows again.
