Default DVD Drive Problems

Hi, i have two DVDRW drives and both are havin problems. I have a HP dvd740b and a Lite-on SH-16A7S. I'm tryin to use nero (which worked perfect before) and it won't let me select my speed for my HP. its greyed out at 4x. When it burns it burns fine but it takes so LONG! I updated the driver and still a no go. The lite-on will only burn some of the time. It'll be halfway through a session and just freeze. It also wont let me choose 16x, the max is nero lets me choose is 12x. I have 16x dvds and have tried other ones too. there is no update for the lie-on driver either. PLEASE HELP!

For the Sata Burner there should be a installation disk that should of came with the drive, should be a Nero designed for the Sata models
anyway go to the Nero Infotool and select the configuration that your Sata drive handles
And also try Slaving the IDE DVD RW and see if that helps since the SATA drive is mastered automatically
