C chublake Baseband Member Messages 73 Jan 5, 2007 #1 I have an HP Pavilian a430n. I have had the compter for two years now and it is out of warranty so i can't ask hp for help. My DVD/CD writer won't read a DVD, but will read a CD and burn a CD. The computer says it is a DVD writer 300c.

S ShackledPhoenix In Runtime Messages 146 Jan 5, 2007 #2 Update Firmware from either HP or the DVD burner's Website. Check device manager for conflicts. Find a burner you know works, test if it works.
