Dvd burner not working at all

hi everyone I hope someone can help.

Have had my liteon LDW 451s for a while with absolutely no probs.
Anyway yesterday trying to burn a dvd with decrypter kept getting power calibration area message, so I checked out some forums and taking that advice I updated the firmware.

This was the only change made to the system.

Well since then my dvd burner is not working and XP is not recognizing the drive.

Can anyone tell me what might of happened and if I can fix it.

sounds like it got uncalibrated i would just replace the drive its not worth getting it recalibrated
