DVD burner not detecting media

I was burning DVD disks the other day and everything was working fine. All of a sudden on the 4th DVD burn my burning drive would no longer detect the DVD media. I tried 10 different disks and even tried another batch but none of them were detected. Anyone have any ideas on this? I've been searching the web to no avail and any help would be appreciated.

I would try reinstalling the drivers. Go to the manf website and download the driver for that model, then uninstall the driver and reinstall it using the newer driver.

try cleaning the lens on that laser with some rubbing alcohol......requires some tinkering
