This happens to me all the time: After running Safe Mode, then exiting and rebooting normally, my display hardware acceleration graphics gets knocked off. Don't want to use System Restore to resolve the issue, so am looking for another option. Could use some suggestions.

Just ran a DXDIAG test:

DxDiag Notes
------------
Display Tab 1: No problems found.
Sound Tab 1: No problems found.
Sound Tab 2: No problems found.
Input Tab: No problems found.

The display still looks like garbage.

Here's the graphics specs:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Have the latest drivers, but don't think reinstalling it will work. Of course when one runs safe mode, then the display drivers are naturally disabled. But what gets me in my case, is that when I reboot Vista normally, the drivers STAY DISABLED.

Try getting DriverSweeper, install it, restart in safe mode, run DriverSweeper, remove all reminisces of NVIDIA drivers. Go back into normal mode, and get the latest drivers from NVIDIA, install.

There's 3 Nvida boxes showing up in Driver Sweeper: Chipset, Display and PhsyX. I need to know which ones to clean: All three...or just the single Display. Thanks.
