Not sure if this is really a hardware problem or I guess I hope it isn't anyway, but when I install the display driver of my ATI Radeon X700 Pro Video card my tv says unusable signal which is does when the aspect ratio is unusable for the tv. The Video card works without a specific driver installed but get scrolling lag which is really bothering me. Not sure if you need specifics on the hardware of the entire computer but if you do just let me know. By the way its hooked up VGA.

Try checking for the Scaling Option within the Catalyst Control Center.
