Difficulty upgrading 4870 Driver.

I found a newer driver for my 4870 (Maybe it'll run cooler) but I went to run the program it said that it was "unable to find components that can be installed on your correct hardware or software configuration."

?? My PDA in my BIOS just selects PCI-E or PCI.. Not specific to the slots.

The card is a Powercolor 4870 1G.

Where did you find this newer driver? From the AMD site?

I got it off the Powercolor site.. 4800 series Cards > HD 4870, then I picked the newest driver.

Use AMD's site directly.. better support and that's the correct way

No problem. Always stick with the original drivers of hardware.
