Default DFI boot up problem

The DFI Street forum is down so I would like to try to get some help here. Here is the current status of my new build.

Mobo is out of case with four power connectors in
1 stick of ram in the top orange slot
CPU in with a Zalman 9500 HS installed (AMD 64 4000)
Video card is in with monitor hooked up
Keyboard is plugged in

Ok, I can get it to power up and all the fans are running but according to the red led lights it isnt reading my CPU.I tried a cmos clear but to no avail. I should be able to get into bios with it set up like this right. This is my first build so any help would be apopreciated, Thanks.

make sure the ram is seated properly and disconnect any drives. know you say all the plugs are connected but check the 4 pin plug next to the 24 pin plug as if that were not connected it would display similar symptoms.
