Dell laptop overheat

I've torn into a few and it ain't fun! Soooooo many little screws and knick knacks and plastic thingies that break easily.

But you can do it as long as you're patient. Just make sure you're grounded and all. I suggest taking pictures as you go, that'll save some pain when re-assembling. And be gentle, it's tricky getting everything to fit back together right and pretty easy to break stuff.

And have your favorite head ache drug on hand, you'll likely need it.

Good luck!

Most of the laptop parts are designed specificly for that model. A generic heatsink will most likely not fit in. So I really don't think it is worth the bother. Your best option would be to by one of those cooling pads for laptops.

What is a cooling pad for a laptop? I haven't even heard of it. Can u give me a link from newegg or something? thanks for the info

you just put in under the laptop. i think throught a usb port. and it either blows cold air. or blows away hot air. i think it blows on it. dont get plastic
