Laptop experts, I would love some help with this and would appreciate any suggestions!
My gf's notebook's LCD will not work.
The notebook powers up and boots into windows. You can see a faint image on the display, but it is really dark. I'm fairly certain this means the backlight isn't powering.
I tried connecting an external VGA monitor (it's working), and when the notebook is powered on, the monitor clicks and its power light turns green as though it is going to power up, then goes into standby mode.
Where should I start with this?
