I have winxp sp3, legal version, automatic updates.

Keyboard(info from driver tab): Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft natural PS/2 Keyboard

From few days ago, whenever I press CTRL inside a Windows Explorer(e.g. My Computer) , my default browser launches my homepage. Or when I am in Chrome/IE, it goes to my homepage.

The problem does NOT exist when I use another keyboard.

I tried reinstalling drivers, no results.

I changed/removed registry key which is for "WebHome" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey\7
No results.

Any ideas?

Yes, the keyboard is faulty
Basically they accumulate dust and grime from the moisture of our skin (yucky I know, but when I have opened some of these faulty keyboards you wouldn't believe the amount of moisture inside)

Repalce the faulty keyboard, as the "Ctrl" key seems to be allowing two keys to be pressed simultaneously (through dust or grime)
it is not worth cleaning this cheap PS2 keyboard ~$10
