crt monitor problem

im using an old gateway 21 inch crt, and the green color just burned out. is there any way i can fix this or do i have to get a new monitor?

what do you mean by green color? you see wrong colors on the monitor all the time, is that what you mean? if it is, turn off your pc and reconnect the monitor to your pc, see if that helps

i mean that of the three colors the monitor displays, its only showing red and blue, no green, so the colors look weird. i tried restarting, nothing. thanks anyway

If all your display settings in Windows and on your monitor are set correctly, and you still get only red and blue colours...

...then it's very likely that your green electron gun in your CRT has burnt out. You'll have to get a new monitor (invest in an LCD TFT...!).
