go into BIOS and look for "Load BIOS Defaults" or Restore BIOS Defaults"...somewhere along those lines

Well the BIOS is the same as it was, the defrag didnt do much, and it still doesnt load.

it went to the windows boot up and just stoped, so we turnt it off, tryed it again and it just randomly restarted

i dont know what is wrong with this now

Reset bios as me or Chill said. It doesn't matter if it was changed or not. Some controller might of had a hiccup.

Ok we reset the BIOS and now it comes up with this stop error

Yeah thats what we though, we just got another HD, we can still access the HD through another one, so he can get all his stuff off it cant he?

Ok we tryed to install a OS on the other HD, but doing a BSOD or just crashing.

could it be the motherboard causeing this? or ram?

If RAM would be causing the trouble, the BSOD would be pointing at it, not the system. I'd say your board is toasted.

Ok, guess he'll have to wait acouple of weeks befor he can get another, unless you know anyone that is selling a socket 775 board REAL cheap, do you?
