Default CPU and heatsink has scratches

I took off the heatsink today to reapply thermal paste and to see if it would fix any of my problems. Well I noticed there are scratches on both the CPU and the heatsink. Here is a pic of the heatsink, I could not get a good shot of the CPU.

That was the best shot I could get. My question is could these scratches cause any problems? Should I be worried about this?

It depends on how deep they are. Your picture is to blurry to tell. You could lap your heatsink to remove the scratches or make them smaller. You can do the same for your cpu also, but without a good clear pic I can't really advise you. There are a few YouTube videos on lapping posted here

HI,
nothing to worry.
just clean and apply new thermal paste & paste it.
