Hi,

Dell's suck. My CPU was literaly glued with these wierd screws to my motherboard and I couldn't remove only the heatsink. So I pulled by the heatsink and kind of ripped it of with the CPU attached to it. I ripped it down when the little lever thing was pushed down, which locks it in. All my pins look fine, none are bent, broken or such. Do you think my CPU will still work?

Thx

Yeah, it'll work as long as you didn't put too much lateral stress on the CPU.

But that's a bad way to take a CPU out. Next time unlatch the lever and use a hair dryer to warm up the heatsink (don't blow on the CPU itself). It will loosen the thermal substance and the CPU will come off.

That's the thing though. My lever was under this black thing, so the only way to get the CPU off was to first take off the heatsink, and when I did that the CPU came out with it. Thanks though at least it should still work.
