Hello!

I have just finished building my new system, how ever there seems to be a problem with my new memory. It's supposed to be running at 2000Mhz but it seems to be running slower around 534.0Mhz according to 'piriform speccy' and 'CPU-Z'.

The memory i'm useing is 'Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C8 2000MHz'

My system:

Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.20GHz Bloomfield 45nm Technology
ASUSTeK Computer INC. Rampage III GENE (LGA1366)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480
488GB SAMSUNG SAMSUNG HD502HJ ATA Device (SATA)
39.1GB INTEL SS DSA2M040G2GC SCSI Disk Device (SATA)

Thank you for your help!

well it's DDR3 so it's running at 1600MHz which is the highest default setting the board goes. To get 2000MHz you'll have to increase the ram speed in the BIOS.

go into the bios, and then go to something along the lines of frequency control, and then find the ram frequency and up that to like 667mhz, that'll bring it up to around 2000mhz.
