Hi all im new to this forum, but my question is im currently building a pc and im new to this so this maybe be a stupid question but iv tried connecting each one of my fans direct to the psu (wanted to test noise levels) and nothing seems to happen. I then conected my dvdrw and fan controller directly to the psu and still nothing (and the fan controller is a lcd screened touch screen so i assume it would light up if there was power being supplied to it) so im wondering if the psu is faulty? Does it have to be connected to a mobo first? Any thoughts? And before someone says something i have made sure its turned on lol

current specs -
thermaltake element s case customised
pov gtx 470 grapthics card
3 sycthe kaze jyuni 1900rpm fans (2 in the front and 1 replacing old exhaust fan)
akasa venom twin fan set up cpu cooler
sony dvdrw (cant justify blu-ray just yet)
intel core i5 760
edimax wireless pci card
nzxt sentry touch screen fan controller
1tb spinpoint f3 hard drive
and obviously now all i need is a mobo, ram and windows 7 ultimate :thumbsup:a
