Default Cordless Mouse Problem-Help

I have a Logitech MX700 Cordless mouse. It was working fine until yesterday night.
The problem is that when I try to click something, nothing happends. I have to click it like 4 times for it to work. The movement is fine, it's just when I click stuff.

Can somebody please help me, this is driving me nuts.

Some cordless mice have a "Connect" button or similar, when my notebook cordless mouse acts up (a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000) I just push the connect button a few times until it works.

Have you tried new batteries? Sometimes when the batteries begin to fail, only part of the functionality is affected.
