I'm trying to connect my Powercolour HD3870 PCI-Express graphics card to a Samsung LE26R88 BD LCD TV, which allows pc connection through a 15 pin (d-sub) socket.

The Graphics card supports,

VGA Output - By DVI to VGA adapter,
HDTV OUTput - By HDTV cable,

DVI Output - DVI-I *2
Dual-link DVI (Not sure what this means?)
HDMI Support - By DVI to HDMI Adapter.

Tried using, DVI-D cables but TV wasn't gettig signal.
Is there any one out there who has tried this and can offer some advice?

In your video card's control panel/options is there an option to "auto detect displays" or "auto detect when a tv is present"? I have a 42 inch LCD tv hooked up via a 25 foot VGA cable and it worked as soon as I plugged it in, just like a monitor should. Does your normal monitor work with this card?

Borrowed a monitor from work and lowered the graphic cards resolution, then connected the LCD via HDMI cable to the graphics card using a DVI - HDMI adapter. With no picture degredation.

Using the 'Display properties' told the pc to use the LCD Tv as the main monitor. Everything is now great!
