Connecting HDD to PS3/ 360

Hi guys,

I'm struggling to get my ps3 and xbox 360 to detect my new external HDD.

It's a 2TB Samsung D3 HDD which I've formatted to FAT32 format but my 360 and ps3 won't pick it up.

What else can I do?

I should add it's USB 3.0 and I haven't partitioned the HDD or anything like that. Just simply reformatted the drive to FAT32.

Your problem is simple to figure out.

if your external device can be accessed wirelessly do it that way and use windows 7/8 to share in between it.
If you insist on a using a hard drive go use a western digital hard drive between 150gb-320gb.

Both of those links should be enough to help fix the issue, 2tb hard drive isn't doable yet.
