Computer would not turn on yest.

The computer ran great unless it said the video card stopped responding for a second then repaired itself.. until yest. it didnt wanna turn on! i took off the casing to see if it was anything simple.. checked the connections everything was cool.. but i noticed when i hit the power i hear the speakers pop like normal and the mb red light is on like normal but nothing else powers up.. then i also noticed everytime i tried turning it on it makes this strange buzzing type noise just for a quick second.. can you guys help me out? here are my system specs:

500 watt power supply
Nforce4 motherboard socket 939
Cpu: athlon 64x2 3800+
Nvidia Graphics card 7800 gtx 256mb *requires at least 400 watts*
1024 ram
linksys wireless card and soundblaster soundcard
1 dvd burner and the other a cd-rw burner.

Sound like a problem with your PSU. Which one do you have?

sounds like the psu is faulty or on its way out
