Computer won't run

Hi,
I have a friends HP Pavillion A6000n Desktop computer and have a question. With all the power cables installed (hard drive, main ATX cable, optical drive and P4 cable) the computer doesn't turn on at all. The green light in the back of the power supply comes on though. With all the power cables installed except for the P4 cable, it works fine. Could this be the power supply or something else like the motherboard or CPU?

Not all systems need the p4 power cable plugged in. If it works fine without it, nothing is wrong. That cable is just there to supply extra power for certain processors.
