Default computer won't recognize cdrom

hi there! i have this very curious problem with my cdrom.
i have a E4010 fujitsu-siemens lifebook with the toshiba sd-r2412 cd/dvd drive, but suddenly my computer doesn't seems to recognize the cdrom. at the device manager page says that may the driver is missing or has been damaged, but that happend after i have my graphic driver updated!!! what happen with my cdrom, and alsow with the external (usb) cd-rom that i have, that has the same problem and alsow the cdrom that was created by alcohol 120%. tnx!!!
