Default TV as a Monitor for a Computer?

I was wondering if there was any kind of adapter that i could hook up my computer to my tv screen instead of using a monitor.
I am not really sure how this works. I dont have a high-definition Tv. Do you need one for this to work? Or is this all imposible to even put it on a tv screen? If there is an adapter to hook it up it would be nice to know where to buy it.

Any help would be great

I've done it using my video card's super video jack, I bought a s-video to RCA cable and simply connected the s-video end on my video card and the rca end on my tv... By the way the monitor has way better resolution..

I have done the same thing as nightwalkerxt and I can use both my monitor and TV at the same time. Some of the newer TVs have a VGA input which makes it easy to plug your computer right into the TV.

no the quality is good or at least on my very very old tv.

But then the tv broke and now it has to go to the junk yard.
