Computer turns off when i tap it

Hey guys,

I recently built a new computer using the antec 900 case.

Recently, when I had USB items plugged in to top/front panel, i unplugged one and the computer shut off. Not shut down, but just boom, no power.

I thought that was strange, and it happened again.

Today, I took printer paper and realligned it but tapping it on the same top area of my computer case. And it shut off...

Has anyone have this problem happen to them?

I'm using a brand new 700w PC power and computing power supply.

Make sure the motherboard isn't shorting out against the case. Take it out of the case, and place it on a table or something and try to run it.

Sounds like a short. Check motherboard...make sure ALL wires are correcting plugged in.

Make sure the brass standoffs are all there.

And make sure that you don't have them in the wrong place... You may also want to check and make sure everything is nice and secure, such as the 24pin atx power cord is plugged in firmly, along with the 4 or 8 pin CPU power...

Make sure your RAM and other cards are firmly installed.
