a while after my computer starts up, it suddenly restarts by itself. after that it will be ok..this happens most of de time when i on my computer. i have reformatted my computer a number of times. de problem still remains. could it be a case of faulty motherboard?

so your saying that after it has been booted it will reboot but will not reboot itself again until it is turned off then back on? my first thought was psu or overheating
Could be few things:
Weak PSU not strong enough to power all your components. Check your PSU's rail ratings.
Something may be overheating in your computer. Check your heatsink, make sure its mounted correctly. Make sure nothing is shorting your motherboard or any other component.
What brand/model PSU do you have? And what are your computer specs?
